“Your data in the cloud? Data protection do’s and don’ts for a cloud-based project”

Cloud-based technologies have become the new norm. But what are the data protection implications of such projects relying on this technology? This question is specifically relevant given the entry into force, on September 1, 2023, of the new Swiss Data Protection Act, which significantly increases the data protection obligations. This legislative overhaul, combined with the restrictive position taken so far by the Swiss Data Protection Authority, creates a challenging environment for the implementation of cloud-based IT solutions, even though the industry trend is clearly moving into this direction. We will explore certain Do’s and Don’ts in order to allow businesses to navigate around the pitfalls of the new regulatory framework.

Summer cruise

Join us for AIBL’s traditional diner-on-the-lake cruise !

Meet us by the CGN ticket cabin in the Jardin Anglais to purchase your boat ticket before the boat departure at 19:00 sharp. The boat will be returning at 22:10.

The boat ticket price (CHF 17.60 with CFF demi-tarif, or CHF 35.- without) is to be paid directly to CGN before the Belle Epoque boat leaves the dock.

We will enjoy cocktails and a three-course meal prepared by Café Léman and served on the deck. The drinks are offered by AIBL. The dinner price of CHF 47.- per person for AIBL members (80 for non-members) will be collected (cash) after the dinner (no-shows will be charged).
